You know how childhood seems to be "the best stage ever" and you worry that it never gets better than that? Well taking Kylan home from the hospital was even better than Christmas morning as a child.

We quickly discovered that baby girl did not like her bassinet and it was a slow and painful process to figure out just how we were going to manage 3+ hours of sleep. Grandpa visited and bought Ky a cosleeper which daddy was pumped about. Ky loved sleeping in bed with us but we feared SIDS so we thought that a little bed between us could be the prefect solution. Ky had different plans. So grandpa also bought her the rock n' play which is at an incline and rocks with a small tap of my finger. We figured since her bouncer was a hit that this would be as well...and it was!



Ky is now 2 weeks old and she sleeps in her rock n' play for 4 hour stretches with mama having to wake her up sometimes to eat. It's not fun having to get up in the middle of the night (especially that 3 or 4am feeding) and bringing her into her nursery, making the cats get out of the rocking chair so I can sit and pump while Ky attacks my other boob. But it's a sacrifice I would make over and over again.
